Sound
of
Music
actress
Dame
Julie
Andrews
has
likened
the
experience
of
singing
after
her
throat
operation
to
the
afterglow
of
sex.
The
74-year-old,
who
underwent
surgery
in
1997
that
damaged
her
vocal
cords,
is
set
to
perform
a
one-off
concert
at
London's
O2
arena.
In
her
biography
Home,
the
Oscar
winner
described
being
able
to
sing
"as
addictive
as
opium" and
"like
sex
before
the
moment
of
climax",
reports
the
Telegraph.
She
told
Channel
4
that
singing
was
still
pleasurable
to
her
but
was
now
"warm,
glowing,
it's,
if
you
really
want
it,
it's
that
moment
after
sex
when
you
say
'Ah,
great'.
