London
(ANI):
English
model
Katie
Green
has
criticised
designer
Karl
Lagerfeld
after
he
said
“no
one
wants
to
see
curvy
women
on
the
ramp." The
22-year-old
beauty,
who
has
modelled
for
lingerie
firms
Ultimo
and
Wonderbra,
insists
that
this
thinking
can
lead
to
young
girls
getting
eating
disorders.
"I'm
in
absolute
shock
at
Karl
Lagerfeld's
comments.
The
guy
is
seriously
deluded
and
irresponsible.
He
makes
me
sick,"
the
Sun
quoted
her
as
saying.
"If
he
thinks
the
fashion
industry
is
all
about
'dreams
and
illusions'
then
he
should
go
to
an
eating
disorder
ward
at
any
hospital.
That
will
show
him
how
this
fantasy
fashion
world
he
has
helped
build
makes
women
seriously
ill
and
fighting
for
their
lives.
He
says
no
one
wants
to
see
real
women
-
but
I
know
lots
of
real
men
and
I
can
tell
you
that
they
prefer
the
curves!" she
added.
Green"s
comments
came
after
Lagerfeld
attacked
popular
German
magazine
Brigitte
that
recently
banned
professional
skinny
models.
She
has
appreciated
Brigitte's
decision.
"When
I
saw
that
story
about
Germany's
largest
women's
magazine
using
real
girls
in
their
publication
and
I
thought
bingo
finally
one
person
has
the
message,"
she
said.
