Grace Kelly’s wardrobe on display in London museum

Grace
Kelly"s
some
of
the
most
famous
outfits
will
be
displayed
in
new
exhibition
in
London.
The
exhibition
at
V&A
museum
will
feature
wardrobe
from
her
films
including
'High
Society" and
'Rear
Window"
along
with
the
dress
she
wore
to
accept
her
Oscar
for
Country
Girl
in
1955.
It
will
also
have
the
outfit
she
wore
to
her
first
meeting
with
husband
Prince
Rainier
at
the
Cannes
film
festival
in
1955
along
with
creations
by
her
favourite
designers,
including
Christian
Dior,
Balenciaga,
Givenchy
and
Yves
St
Laurent
in
1960s
and
1970s,
reports
the
Telegraph.
Costumes
created
by
the
MGM
designer
Helen
Rose,
including
a
Grecian-style
bathing
robe
and
an
embroidered
evening
dress,
a
black
chiffon
dress
worn
by
Kelly
in
the
1954
film
Rear
Window
and
designed
by
Edith
Head,
Paramount''s
chief
costume
designer,
will
also
go
on
display.
Other
highlights
of
the
show
will
include
the
belted
shirtwaist
dress
by
Branell
of
New
York,
which
Kelly
wore
for
the
official
announcement
of
her
engagement
to
Prince
Rainier,
the
clothes
designed
for
her
trousseau
and
the
lace
bodice
and
skirt
she
wore
for
her
civil
marriage
ceremony
in
1956.
The
show,
which
opens
in
April
2010,
has
been
divided
into
three
sections:
"The
Actress",
"The
Bride" and
"The
Princess".
