Nicole
Kidman

her
husband
Keith
Urban
have
made
a
contribution
of
500,000
dollars
to
charity
the
Red
Cross
in
a
bid
to
help
their
fellow
Australians
left
homeless
by
raging
bushfires.
More
than
180
people
have
been
killed
in
the
inferno,
which
has
destroyed
more
than
1,000
homes.
The
couple
appeared
via
satellite
link
during
an
Australian
telethon
to
raise
money
for
the
country's
Red
Cross.
Kidman
and
her
musician
husband
said
they
were
grieving
'for
the
people
who
have
been
struck
so
devastatingly
by
this
disaster'.
"Our
hearts
go
out
tonight
to
all
the
families
that
are
dealing
with
the
loss
of
loved
ones
and
having
to
rebuild
their
lives
again," Contactmusic
quoted
them,
as
saying.
Hugh
Jackman
and
Russell
Crowe
were
among
other
celebrities
who
took
part
in
the
televised
appeal.
