David
Letterman
has
apologised
to
his
wife
Regina
Lasko
on
his
talk
show
'The
Late
Show'
on
Monday
afternoon.
This
was
his
first
appearance
on
the
show
since
revealing
his
sex
scandal
on
Thursday.
The
late-night
host
vowed
to
repair
his
relationship
with
his
wife
Regina.
However,
Letterman
publically
appologised
to
his
wife
on
Monday's
show.
During
his
opening
monologue,
Letterman
said,
"She
has
been
horribly
hurt
by
my
behavior,
and
when
something
happens
like
that,
if
you
hurt
a
person
and
it's
your
responsibility,
you
try
to
fix
it."
He
added,
"At
that
point,
there's
only
two
things
that
can
happen.
Either
you're
going
to
make
some
progress
and
get
it
fixed,
or
you're
going
to
fall
short
and
perhaps
not
get
it
fixed.
So
let
me
tell
you
folks,
I
got
my
work
cut
out
for
me."
On
Thursday,
he
disclosed
that
he
had
had
sexual
relationships
with
women
who
worked
for
him
and
said
that
he
had
been
the
victim
of
a
$2
million
blackmail
threat.
During
the
hour,
he
also
apologized
to
his
staff.
"I'm
terribly
sorry
that
I
put
the
staff
in
that
position.
Inadvertently,
I
just
wasn't
thinking
ahead."
