Eva Longoria is Philanthropist of the Year

Washington, (ANI): eva longoria parker has been named Hollywood Reporter's Philanthropist of the Year for her vigorous children's charity work.

Apart from being the national spokesperson for Padres Contra El Cancer (Parents Against Cancer), the beauty has also founded Eva's Heroes, an organisation focusing on kids with developmental disabilities in her native Texas. Parents Against Cancer aids Latino children with cancer.

"I've never met a more conscientious and socially aware young, energetic talent. Eva's efforts on behalf of the causes near and dear to her are Herculean," Contactmusic quoted publisher Eric Mika as saying.

He added: "She pours her free time and energy into raising millions of dollars for charitable missions that make a difference in the Latino community and other humanitarian organisations."
