Marilyn Chambers found dead at home

New York (ANI): Marilyn Chambers, one of the first mainstream porn superstars, has been found dead aged 56. The pioneering porn star was discovered unconscious by her 17-year-old daughter at her mobile home in the Los Angeles suburb of Canyon Country on Sunday night.

Authorities said that they did not suspect foul play and were conducting toxicology tests, reports The New York Daily News. The angelic-looking, blue-eyed blond starred in Behind the Green Door (1972), the first hardcore film to reach a mainstream audience.

She broke a taboo by having sex with a black actor Johnny Keyes. Chambers went on to make more than 25 porn movies, several of them with late star John Holmes, who died of AIDS complications in 1988. She also released the disco single 'Benihana' in 1976 and eight years later turned to politics, running for U.S. vice president on the Personal Choice Party ticket.
