Drea de Matteo to star in desperate housewives

New York (ANI): 'The Sopranos' star Drea de Matteo is set to star in 'desperate housewives' for next season, it has emerged. According to Entertainment Weekly's EW.com, sources have revealed that the 37-year-old actress will be the series' regular and play the matriarch of a new Italian family.

However, casting is underway for her landscape designer husband and their tightly wound son, reports the New York Daily News. Best known for her role as Adriana on 'Sopranos', de Matteo won an Emmy for her work on that show.
