London (ANI): Cancer-stricken Patrick Swayze wants to die like a cowboy with his boots on. The Dirty Dancing actor was diagnosed 12 months ago with pancreatic cancer, one of the deadliest forms of the disease, reports the Daily Star.

A pal said, "Patrick regards himself as a cowboy, and is determined to die with his boots on and no regrets." Yesterday, reports had emerged suggesting that the Ghost star had given up on his cancer treatment after doctors told him there was nothing they could do to stop the growth of his illness.

However, refuting the story by the National Enquirer, the actor's publicist said that Swayze is still undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.
