Robert Pattinson inspired by James Dean's role

Washington (ANI): Robert Pattinson says he was inspired by James Dean's character in Rebel Without A Cause when he played Edward Cullen in the blockbuster Twilight. Pattinson confesses to have done a thorough research before he played the vampire in Twilight.

"Rebel Without A Cause was a big influence on the first (Twilight film) - it influenced the hairdo and stuff. In lots of ways, it has a very similar character arc: an everyday girl brings this relatively strange individual out of his slump," Contactmusic quoted him as telling USA Weekend mag.
