fans to donate gowns for charity in India

London (ANI): BBC show has requested its viewers to turn unwanted T-shirts into operation gowns and donate it for a charity work in India. The programme has joined hands with children's charity Operation Smile to help conduct life-changing surgery on hundreds of children with cleft lips and palates.

The appeal aims at diverting the cost of gowns priced at 3 pounds each to the 150 pounds cost of another cleft lip op, reports the Scotsman. The show"s bosses are looking to collect 20,000 gowns in a six-week time period. The mission can help fund an entire two-week-long medical project in December in Guwahati, India.
