Polanski takes French Mags to court

London, (ANI): Roman Polanski has made up his mind to drag two French magazines and a newspaper to court for allegedly publishing pictures of him serving house arrest in Switzerland. The Rosemary"s Baby director is presently staying at a ski chalet in the country, waiting for the final verdict of a Swiss court on his extradition to the US in a 1977 child sex case.

According to Polanski"s lawyers, French mags VSD and Voici, and the newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche breached his privacy by publishing the photographs of the filmmaker and his family, reports the Daily Express.

It is believed Polanski and his actress wife, Emmanuelle Seigner, are claiming 680,750pounds in damages for the pictures and the accompanying articles. The lawsuit will come up for hearing on January 12, 2010 in Paris, France.
