Slumdog Millionaire tops UK box office

London (ANI): Slumdog Millionaire has jumped from number three to the number one spot at the UK box office on the back of its eight-awards success at the Oscars last month. Animated feature Bolt, which was the chart-topper last week, dropped down to number four.

According to the BBC, Clint Eastwood's racial drama Gran Torino was in second place. The third spot was claimed by a new entry, horror film The Unborn, which made just over 1.3millon pounds.

Wrapping up the top five was Confessions of a Shopaholic.
