Takei, Altman to be first gay couple on The Newlywed Game

London (ANI): Actor George Takei and Brad Altman are all set to create a history of sorts as they become the first gay couple to appear on hit American show The Newlywed Game. The game show pits newly married couples against each other in a string of revealing questions to find out how much the spouses know about each other.

Takei and Altman had been in a relationship for almost two decades before tying the knot in September last year. The couple are quite happy and eager to take part in the show.

The Daily Express quoted Altman as telling the New York Daily News: "George and I are thrilled. It's pretty historic for us. It's going to be a great experience for both of us to see how well we really know each other after 22 years together."
