Viggo Mortensen disappointed at 2007 Oscars

London, (ANI): American actor Viggo Mortensen has revealed he was doubly disappointed when he did not win at the 2007 Academy Awards, as he had planned a tribute to his favourite soccer team if he was invited up to the podium.

Mortensen, 51, who had starred in Lord of the Rings, was nominated in the Best Actor category at the prestigious Oscars ceremony, for his role in Eastern Promises. The actor, who lost out to Daniel Day-Lewis for his role in 'There Will Be Blood", admits that he was doubly upset, as he had wanted to profess his love for Argentinean club San Lorenzo in his acceptance speech. “I had the club"s flag folded up and tucked inside my vest. If I"d won I was going to take it out during the speech," the Daily Express quoted him as saying
