New
York,
(ANI):
Amy
Adams,
who
gave
birth
to
her
first
child
earlier
this
year,
is
in
no
rush
to
shed
her
baby
weight.
The
actress,
now
co-starring
in
The
Fighter,
told
Parade
magazine
that
there
was
more
to
life
than
having
a
beach-ready
body.
“Being
pregnant
finally
helped
me
understand
what
my
true
relationship
was
with
my
body
-
meaning
that
it
wasn't
put
on
this
earth
to
look
good
in
a
swimsuit," the
New
York
Daily
News
quoted
the
36-year-old
as
saying.
“I
was
like,
'Look,
I
can
carry
a
baby!
I'm
gaining
weight
right,
everything's
going
well".
And
I've
had
that
relationship
ever
since,"
she
added.
Adams
and
her
fiance
Darren
Le
Gallo
became
parents
to
a
daughter
in
May,
and
the
two-time
Oscar
nominee
said
she
has
been
too
concerned
with
her
bundle
of
joy
since
then
to
give
much
thought
to
her
curves.
“I've
been
working
out
when
I
can,
and
I'm
trying
to
eat
in
a
healthful
way,
but
losing
weight
is
not
my
number-one
priority,"
said
Adams.
“It's
part
of
my
job
to
return
to
some
semblance
of
what
I
was
before.
But
I
don't
feel
I've
ever
made
my
career
on
my
rockin
bod,"
she
added.
