Avatar is a hit on Facebook!

James Cameron"s groundbreaking epic Avatar which has become the 3rd biggest film in the history of 'Indian cinema" still finds an ever-increasing fan base in the country with its re-release 'Avatar Special Edition" on the anvil.

The movie"s fan page (in India) on a popular social networking site Facebook has touched around 1.25 lakh fans. In just 2 days, the page witnessed an insane surge from 50,000 to 1.25 lakh fans making it the highest ever in a single day for any fan page on Facebook India. The numbers seem to increase every few minutes and about 20,000 people join the page on a daily basis. These figures have made it the biggest fan page for a Hollywood movie in India. Furthermore, it is the biggest fan page for any movie, after '3 Idiots" in India.

With Avatar Special Edition slated to hit the big screens on 27th August, the page is flooded with special contests and queries from excited fans who cannot wait to witness this magnum opus on the big screens again!
