Lara Bingle fails to impress TV bosses at screen test

Melbourne (ANI): Lara Bingle has screen tested for a job as an entertainment reporter with Bigpond TV. But the 22-year-old Australian, who recently split from cricketer Michael Clarke following a nude photograph scandal, reportedly failed to impress television executives with her presenting skills.

Bingle, who auditioned two weeks ago at Sydney's Chief Entertainment studio, was allegedly like 'a deer caught in the headlights" during her screen test. One industry insider said: "Bingle is s--- on camera."

The entertainment reporter role had been offered to more established TV performers, who for various reasons declined the role, before Bingle's agent, Max Markson, put forward his new client for the job. Bingle interviewed singer Damien Leith during her screen test.

Markson confirmed Bingle had screen tested for Bigpond and conceded there had been no call back for the newly single model. "There has been no contract offered, no offer made from a TV network. She interviewed Damien, read an autocue, did a stand-up, had a chat as well ... and then signed dozens of autographs on her way out the door," News.com.au quoted him as saying.
