Brittany Murphy told mum she was dying

London (ANI): Shortly before her fatal collapse at home, Brittany Murphy told mum Sharon she was dying and asked her for a hug.

"That morning she woke up and couldn't breathe," News of the World quoted the late actress' British husband Simon Monjack as telling a US telly show. "She went out to get some air. Sharon followed her out. She said, 'Mom, I'm dying. I love you.' I believe she knew she was dying - this was about an hour... and then she ran to the bathroom," he added.

Sitting next to Simon, 40, Sharon added: "I just knew when she collapsed, I was with her in the bathroom. I was sitting across from her with her little puppy, Clara. And she said, 'Mommy, please hug me.' And I went to get up and she just collapsed like right there. I started screaming for Simon. He did CPR from the minute she collapsed until the minute the paramedic walked into that room," she added.
