Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage may ride again on the big screen essaying the lead role in the sequel of the 2007 movie, Ghost Rider.

The 46 year old actor might be seen again in the role of Johnny Blaze, as the sequel of the movie is being planned by the producer Mike De Luca. The shooting of the film is supposed to start at the end of this year.

Nicolas was seen as a stunt motor cyclist in his first film, one who sold his soul to the devil in order to protect his father. But, this made him a flaming-skulled bike rider.

However, De Luca has informed that actress Eva Mendes will not continue with her role in the upcoming sequel. Columbia Pictures is planning to set the movie in Europe and make it a 3D movie.

If Cage agrees to take up the role then it is going to be another Hollywood blockbuster keeping in mind the popularity of the actor.

In 2007, the Ghost Rider became a hit as a superhero film, which was written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson.
