America Ferrera to produce TV show based

London (ANI): Ugly Betty star America Ferrera will be producing a new TV show based on Romeo and Juliet. Ferrera"s role in the comedy serial 'Ugly Betty" will end this year as the fifth season of the show has been cancelled due to low ratings.

And the 25-year-old actress has struck a deal with MTV to produce a spiced up version of Shakespeare"s Romeo and Juliet, reports The Daily Express. The show will be named Pedro and Maria and will have a Latin touch to it.

According to Deadline.com, viewers will be able to vote and decide how the story line should follow with the help of Twitter and Facebook.
