London,
(ANI):
Actress
Gemma
Arterton
has
slammed
the
film
industry
for
putting
women
in
the
'background'.
The
former
Bond
girl
said
that
she
had
almost
been
tempted
to
walk
off
film
sets
in
the
past
because
of
mistreatment.
The
24-year-old
said
she
had
read
so
many
scripts,
in
which
women
languished
in
the
shadows
or
were
simply
there
to
help
the
male
lead.
The
actress,
who
starred
in
this
year's
blockbusters
Clash
Of
The
Titans
and
Prince
Of
Persia,
criticised
the
't**ts
out
there
(in
the
film
world)
who
don't
deserve
to
be
in
the
positions
they're
in
and
treat
people
like
s**t'.
''I've
nearly
walked
off
very
big
films
before,
and
I
would,
because
I
don't
want
that
in
my
life.
I
want
to
enjoy
the
work
I
do,''
the
Telegraph
quoted
her
as
telling
GQ
magazine.
She
said
that
she
is
established
as
an
actress
and
wants
to
work
with
people
who
respect
her.
''I'm
looking
forward
to
work
with
people
I
get
on
with;
who
respect
me,
don't
just
see
me
as
a
piece
of
ass,
which
I
have
experienced
as
well,''
she
said.
