Gillian Anderson to star in racy BBC2 drama

London (ANI): Former X Files star Gillian Anderson is set to appear in a racy BBC2 drama about Victorian prostitutes. The actress will join Atonement's Romola Garai, Richard E Grant, the IT Crowd's Chris O'Dowd and Mark Gatiss in the four-parter, 'The Crimson Petal and the White".

Romola plays Sugar, a hooker plucked from the brothel by a wealthy man. "It's a really fresh and surprising cast that will bring this provocative tale to life," the Mirror quoted a BBC spokesman as saying.
