London
(ANI):
Simon
Cowell
has
reportedly
chosen
David
Hasselhoff
as
his
replacement
on
'Britain"s
Got
Talent".
The
former
star
of
'Baywatch" and
'Knight
Rider"
has
been
offered
a
500,000
pounds
deal
and
the
American
cult
figure,
58,
is
said
to
be
'really
looking
forward"
to
the
auditions,
which
starts
next
month.
Hasselhoff
was
picked
as
he
has
the
experience
of
being
a
judge
on
America's
Got
Talent,
the
US
version
of
the
wannabe
show.
He
was
dumped
in
January
over
his
notorious
drinking
antics
after
appearing
in
four
series.
But
Simon,
who
had
no
say
in
that
decision,
sees
him
as
an
ideal
replacement
when
he
stands
down
to
concentrate
on
the
US
version
of
X
Factor.
A
source
close
to
The
Hoff
said,
“David
was
delighted
to
receive
the
call
as
he
really
enjoyed
his
time
on
America's
Got
Talent," reports
the
Sun.“He
is
popular
in
the
UK
and
loves
the
country,
so
for
him
it
is
a
dream
opportunity.
You
might
say
it's
ironic
Simon
asked
David
to
replace
him
after
he
was
dropped
in
America.
But
they
are
great
pals
and
David
is
really
looking
forward
to
the
auditions,"
he
added.
Former
BGT
judge
Piers
Morgan
has
also
bailed
out
after
being
signed
as
a
chat
show
host
by
US
news
network
CNN.
However,
a
BGT
source
said,
“We
are
talking
to
David
Hasselhoff.
Nothing
has
been
finalized."
