Washington
(ANI):
British
actress
Helena
Bonham
Carter
has
slammed
perceptions
projecting
her
as
''posh'',
insisting
the
title
to
be
the
''biggest
lie''.
The
Alice
In
Wonderland
star
insisted
she
should
not
be
judged
on
the
basis
of
her
name
or
relatives,
which
include
a
baron,
a
baroness
and
former
British
Prime
Minister,
Herbert
Asquith.
"Everyone
thinks
I'm
posh
but
that's
shallow
thinking
and
the
biggest
lie.
They
only
think
I'm
posh
because
I've
got
three
names," Contactmusic
quoted
her
as
saying.
The
43-year-old
further
revealed
she
was
happy
to
be
relieved
off
the
'corset
sex
symbol'
tag.
She
added:
"Ageing
has
helped
hugely.
There's
no
question
I'm
a
better
actor,
and
you
leave
behind
a
certain
typecasting.
I
was
like
the
corset
bimbo.
Well,
not
quite
bimbo,
but
you
know
what
I
mean.
The
corset
sex
symbol,
I
suppose.
Now
I'm
not
going
to
be
the
sex
symbol,
I''m
going
to
be
the
granny."
