London,
(ANI):
American
mystery
and
crime
writer
Jeffery
Deaver
will
be
writing
the
next
edition
of
the
James
Bond
novel.
After
the
death
of
Ian
Fleming
in
1964,
many
authors
have
written
Bond
stories.
Now,
the
company
that
administers
Fleming"s
literary
estate
has
handed
over
the
framing
up
of
the
Bond
stories
to
Deaver.
Deaver
is
known
for
his
graphic
violence
and
twisted
villains.
The
book
penned
by
him
will
be
published
in
May
2011.
The
book
will
follow
the
footsteps
of
Sebastian
Faulks's
novel
Devil
May
Care,
written
to
mark
Fleming's
100th
anniversary
in
2008,
reports
The
Independent.
Deaver
said
his
yet-to-come
novel,
titled
Project
X,
will
“occur
over
a
short
period
of
time
and
will
find
Bond
in
three
or
four
exotic
locations
around
the
globe."
“My
history
with
Bond
goes
back
50
years.
I
was
about
eight
or
nine
when
I
picked
up
my
first
Bond
novel.
I
was
a
bit
precocious
when
it
came
to
reading,
but
I
have
my
parents
to
thank
for
that," Deaver
said.
“They
had
a
rule
that
I
was
not
allowed
to
watch
certain
movies,
but
I
could
read
anything
that
I
could
get
my
hands
on.
This
was
ironic
since,
in
the
Fifties
and
early
Sixties,
you''d
never
see
sex
or
violence
on
the
screen," he
added.
