Jim Carrey becomes grandfather

Washington (ANI): Jim Carrey has become a grandfather at 47. The actor"s daughter Jane has given birth to her first child, a baby boy, with husband Alex Santana. Her actual due date was Mar. 3, reports People magazine.

The Jane Carrey Band singer had said last year she would love to have a son. She said: "I'm excited about it because I never really got along with girls growing up. "I was a little afraid that if it was a girl that she would not like me, you know? So I'm very happy about the boy."

Meanwhile, Carrey believes her daughter will be a great mom. He said in July: "Jane is going to be a great mom."
