Melbourne
(ANI):
Jim
Carrey's
depression
came
between
him
and
Jenny
McCarthy,
friends
close
to
the
celebrity
couple
have
revealed.
According
to
Star
Magazine,
the
two,
who
were
together
for
five
years,
were
having
problems
for
quite
some
time,
reports
The
Herald
Sun.
The
mag
claims
the
actor
has
admitted
to
struggling
with
depression.
"Jenny's
done," claims
a
source.
"They
always
seem
so
happy
in
public
yet
they
have
had
their
share
of
breaks.
Jenny
has
been
very
supportive
of
Jim,
but
he
has
refused
to
take
medication
that
seems
necessary
for
his
condition,"
the
mag
claims.
“The
crazy
highs
and
dark
lows
were
just
too
much
for
her.
It
was
such
an
emotional
roller
coaster
for
her,"
says
an
insider.
"When
he'd
get
really
down,
he'd
just
disappear.
He
would
hide
out
in
a
hotel
or
one
of
his
homes,
not
answering
her
calls."
Carrey
took
to
Twitter
to
reveal
that
his
relationship
with
McCarthy
had
ended.
He
wrote:
“Jenny
and
I
have
just
ended
our
5yr
relationship.
I"m
grateful
for
the
many
blessings
we"ve
shared
and
I
wish
her
the
very
best.
S"okay!
Be
of
good
cheer
folks!
It"s
a
beautiful
world,
and
we"re
all
gonna
get
what
we
need
the
most!
(sic)"
McCarthy
replied
saying
she
was
“grateful"
for
their
time
together
and
would
continue
to
be
“committed"
to
his
daughter
Jane,
22.
She
said:
“I"m
so
grateful
for
the
years
Jim
and
I
had
together.
I
will
stay
committed
to
Jane
and
will
always
keep
Jim
as
a
leading
man
in
my
heart."
