Jim Carrey, Jenny McCarthy end 5-year relationship

Hollywood actor Jim Carrey and former 'Playboy' playmate Jenny McCarthy have ended their five-year relationship. Their split hit the headlines immediately after The Mask star posted a comment about it on his Twitter page on Tuesday. But the reason for their break up is yet to be confirmed.

Jim and Jenny have been together for five years. Their sudden split has shocked the Hollywood insiders. Jim Carrey tweeted, "Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I'm grateful 4 the many blessings we've shared and I wish her the very best! S'okay!" .

In a reply, which she tweeted after half an hour, McCarthy thanked him for spending five years with her. She tweeted, "I'm so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart."

Later, talking to the People, Carrey's representative Marleah Leslie confirmed their break up. "Jim and Jenny have recently decided to end their five-year relationship," the People quotes Leslie as saying. However, he declined to reveal the reason for their break up.
