Heidi Montag blames plastic surgery for marriage breakdown

New York (ANI): Heidi Montag blames her cosmetic surgery makeover for the marriage breakdown with Spencer Pratt. The Hollywood model claims that her husband begged her not undergo surgery for breast augmentation and nose job.

"Spencer begged me not to get the first surgery and it almost broke up our relationship," the New York Daily News quoted Montag, 23, as telling Life & Style of her 2007 nose job and breast augmentation. "Then he begged me not to get the second one and it did break our relationship," she added.

'The Hills' star, who filed for divorce from Pratt in July, insists her spouse didn't want to take care of her as she recovered from her surgery and the relationship gradually crumbled under the strain.

"It was just so much pressure. No one wants to be taking care of his wife — who looks like she was in a horrific accident — 24 hours a day, when he begged her not to do it in the first place. Spencer didn''t sign up for this in our marriage," she told the mag.
