London
(ANI):
Oscar-winner
Morgan
Freeman
is
waiting
anxiously
for
his
stretched
nerves
to
grow
back
to
normal
so
that
he
can
fly
his
plane
and
sail
his
boat
again.
The
actor,
who
has
been
disabled
since
two
years
after
a
car
crash
fractured
his
shoulder
blade,
has
learned
he
will
have
to
wait
another
year
until
his
nerves
allow
him
to
be
fully
functioning
once
more.
"The
doctor
said
stretched
nerves
are
the
hardest
to
heal.
If
they
had
been
severed,
they'd
grow
back
together
much
shorter
time.
The
nerves
grow
back
at
a
rate
of
one
inch
a
month," the
Daily
Express
quoted
him
as
telling
Penthouse
magazine.
"Since
I've
got
long
arms,
I've
got
another
year
for
my
nerves
to
reconnect.
My
life
has
changed
because
I'm
basically
one-handed.
I
can't
fly
my
plane,
sail
my
boat,"
he
added.
