Robert Pattinson sports a new hair-do

New York, (ANI): Twilight star Robert Pattinson has cropped his lustrous locks and is now sporting a shorter hair-do. Pattinson unveiled his new look as he appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this week.

His new cut boasts short sides and back, even as a bit of length has been maintained on top. The actor, 24, however, said he had to chop off his hair over a medical problem.

"It's three days old…. I got a terrible infestation of nits and had to shave it all off," the New York Daily News quoted him as saying on the show. However, Ellen rubbished his claims, saying: "No you did not…Don't start that rumour."

It is believed Pattinson cut off his brunette mop for his new role, a Depression-era drama called Water for Elephants, alongside Reese Witherspoon.
