Guy Ritchie to helm new King Arthur film

London (ANI): Guy Ritchie is set to helm a new movie based on the legend of King Arthur. The director, formerly married to Madonna, will rework the story to show the sixth century British monarch"s defeat of Saxon invaders in the Warner Bros. Movie, the Daily Star reported.

The project draws on Thomas Mallory's Le Morte d'Arthur, a compilation of French and English tales from 1485, according to Variety.com. The legend was previously resurrected in a 2004 blockbuster starring Keira Knightley and Clive Owen.
