Russell Brand eyes Oscar

London, (ANI): Russell Brand is assuming that he is in line for an Oscar this year. The funnyman is hoping to win an Academy Award for his new film Get Him To The Greek.

The 35-year-old star found his role as sex-mad rocker Aldous Snow "effortless". "I'd prefer to get an Oscar than play at Glastonbury, I reckon I've got a chance," the Daily Star quoted Brand as saying

"I play a drug addict. I have been re-searching for the previous 10 years, so it was effortless. They should have just given me a video camera in 2005 and saved a lot of money," he added.
