Russell gifts 'Machli' to Katy Perry as wedding gift

It was reported initially that Katy Perry has gifted her newly married hubby a vintage car Ford Capri as a wedding present. Now, it is the turn of the man to gift his wife something special, so what could be better gift in Ranthambhore National Park than a female Bengal tiger?

As the couple has tied the knot at Ranthambhore National Park, Brand gifted his lady a tiger called 'Machli" during their wedding.

Brand has spent thousands buying Machli, a female Bengal tiger who lives in the Ranthambhore National Park where the pair wed on Saturday. The comedian has reportedly chosen the tiger after searching from the dozens of big cats. The park rangers consider her to be 'the epitome of beauty", which matches with Brand's feelings for his wife Katy.

However, Katy will leave back 'Machli" in her jungle home to live happily with her species around and the money paid by Russell will be used for the welfare of the tiger and conservation schemes of the park. Katy already has a domestic cat called 'Kitty Purry', which is little younger than 'Machli".

Russell has also reportedly gifted her ruby with 'protective powers". It was her advance birthday gift from her hubby as she celebrated her birthday on Monday. In return, Katy presented him a baby elephant as a token of love.

The grand ceremony was performed by Hindu guru and a fortune-telling parrot. Apart from the gifted tiger, the wedding ceremony was attended by another man-eating tiger from the nearby jungle. The male tiger, which already killed three people in the last two years, gatecrashed their wedding area. The noise and lights of the wedding attracted the male predator at the wedding venue. Luckily, the guards were able to beat the tiger away that entered jumping a third wall, which was just 50ft away from the newlyweds and their 85 guests.
