Streep and Nichols are cousins?

Meryl Streep was in for a shock when she found out that top U.S. genealogist Henry Louis Gate"s research suggested that she was her friend and filmmaker, Mike Nichols" cousin.

The award winning actress has worked with Nichols on four films. When Gates" documentary, Faces of America revealed that they were cousins, she shrieked out saying that it was ridiculous and had trouble believing it. According to Gates" research, renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma and actress Eva Longoria Parker are also related. The Desperate Housewives actress" first question on finding that out was whether Yo-Yo Ma was also Mexican!
