Tom Cruise likely to sing in Shankman's Rock of Ages

There is some great news for all Tom Cruise fans as director Adam Shankman has confirmed the reports that Tom will be cast in a supporting role for movie adaptation of Rock of Ages. Reports are doing the rounds that it will be a Warner Bros production and is set to release in 2011.

There is also a buzz doing the rounds that Tom will also lend his voice for the movie. Shankman added that if Tom is there in the movie he has to sing. Rock of Ages is a rock love story and is considered to be a classic.

'Rock of Ages' was performed at Broadway"s Brook Atkinson on 7th April, 2009. It was nominated for Five 2009 Tony Awards which also included the best musical. The show was directed by Kristin Hanggi and choreographed by Kelly Divine. It has been penned by Chris D"Arienzo.

Shankman added that the look of the movie is great, at a fundraiser event recently. Shankman also zeroed on Tom for the role after watching him in Tropic Thunder. Shankman discussed with Tom about his eagerness to cast him in a role which he agreed to. Shankman remarked that he was thrilled to watch him as Les Grossman from the movie Tropic Thunder.
