Forest Whitaker to star in Criminal Minds spin-off?

London (ANI): American actor Forest Whitaker is reportedly in talks to star in spin-off of popular TV show 'Criminal Minds". America's CBS bosses are planning to expand the popular cop drama into a franchise with a new series due to air later this year (10).

According to EW.com, the Oscar winner is being approached to lead the all-new cast, reports Daily Star. It is being said that Whitaker will be introduced to viewers in a Criminal Minds episode this spring (10), which will set the scene for the spin-off.

He has earlier starred in two series of TV show The Shield between 2006 and 2007.
