American Union releasing next April

The fourth instalment of the American Pie franchise, American Reunion will hit the screens on April 6, 2012. The news has surprised many, as the earlier movies from the franchise were released during summer season. The Universal Pictures announced the news about the early release yesterday evening.

Seann William Scott, Jason Biggs, and Eugene Levy have reportedly given their consent to act in American Union. The makers of the film are in talks with Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Coolidge for the female leads in the film. It is said that other cast from the original version would be the cast in the film.

The story of the film is about a reunion of high-school friends. Harold & Kumar's Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg are penning the script and directing the film. Where as, Chris Moore and Craig Perry are producing the film.
