Arnold Schwarzenegger splits from Maria Shriver

Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who made it to headlines by signing a couple of films and a TV series, is now back in news for all wrong reason. The action king of Hollywood has split from his wife Maria Shriver on Monday. He ended the 24-years relationship just four months after he left office as Governor of California.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver have released a joint statement that reads, "This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion, and prayer, we came to this decision together. We are continuing to parent our four children together."

The couple met each other at a charity tennis tournament in 1977 and married in 1986. After leaving governor's office, Arnold has signed two new movies, including the Terminator franchise and TV show 'The Governator'. His wife Maria Shriver is an author and former journalist for NBC.
