Barry Levinson replaces Nick Cassavetes in Gotti biopic

Barry Levinson has replaced the Nick Cassavetes for much-hyped movie Gotti: Three Generations. The makers of the film have made the announcement yesterday that they have roped in the Rain Man director.

Levinson has said that the story has impressed him, as it has to be told in the insider's point of view. "What really attracted me to the story was that it was from the perspective of John Gotti Jr. You see an insider's look that I haven't seen told before", the Aceshowbiz quoted the filmmaker as saying.

Gotti: Three Generations is mainly based on the relationship of John Gotti Sr, and his son John Gotti Jr. The movie is produced by Marc Fiore. It features John Travolta, Joe Pesci and Lindsay Lohan in the leads.
