Oscar nominations disappoint Cher

By Raymond Ronamai

Popular singer and actress Cher is devastated after her film Burlesque failed to make it to this year's Academy Awards nomination list for the Best Original Song category. Her song “You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" earned songwriter Diane Warren a Golden Globe but it is not in the Oscars shortlist.

The 64-year-old singer expressed her disappointment on her Twitter page. “We didn't get a nomination 4 best song! Diane's song is so beautiful! It's hard to understand how u win the Golden Globe 4 Best Song & not even get nominated by the Oscars? (sic)," she posted. “Maybe she would have had a better chance if someone else was singing it?! It just can't b her song (sic)," she added.

Well, Cher has a reason to be disappointed, as films that win awards at Golden Globe usually dominate at the Oscar too.
