exciting
news
for
James
Bond
fans
-
a
new
007
film
has
officially
been
announced.
Film
studio
MGM
and
EON
Productions
executives
have
announced
that
the
23rd
James
Bond
film
will
begin
production
later
this
year,
and
be
released
worldwide
on
November
9,
2012.
Daniel
Craig
is
back
for
his
third
turn
as
the
secret
agent,
while
Oscar
winner
Sam
Mendes
will
direct
a
screenplay
written
by
Neal
Purvis,
Robert
Wade
and
John
Logan,
reports
the
BBC.
The
franchise
had
been
on
hold
amid
financial
troubles,
with
MGM
filing
for
bankruptcy
protection
last
November.
Work
on
the
23rd
film
was
suspended
in
April
2010
because
of
uncertainty
over
the
company's
future.
James
Bond
is
one
of
the
longest
running
franchises
in
film
history.
Its
return
marks
a
four-year
hiatus
for
Bond
since
his
last
adventure,
'Quantum
of
Solace" in
2008.
