Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2 grosses $476 million

Warner Bros. Pictures' latest movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 had great opening weekend at the worldwide Box Office. The final movie in the Harry Potter series has collected a massive $476 million in its debut and this is the best collection of all time. The last installment has broken the Box Office record of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which had debuted with $394 million.

Earlier this summer, Disney"s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides opened with $350.6 million worldwide. Later, this record was broken by Transformers: Dark of the Moon with $382.4 milllion. Now, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 has now earned a staggering $307 million at the international box office and $168.6 million domestic collection centres.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. president of international distribution Veronika Kwan-Rubinek said, “The phenomenal result is a true testament to the universal and timeless appeal of JK Rowling's beloved books. Whether in German, Russian, Spanish, Japanese or any other language, fans everywhere have embraded the finale."

Veronika further said, "We thank the filmmakers, cast and crew for this amazing film, as well as our teams and partners in exhibition for bringing this epic story to its conclusion on big screens all over the world."
