officially
signed
to
act
in
the
movie
Hunger
Games,
which
is
an
upcoming
film
adaptation
of
the
Suzanne
Collins
young
adult
novel.
The
Winter's
Bone
star
will
play
heroine
Katniss
Everdeen
in
it.
Earlier,
the
names
of
Hailee
Steinfeld
and
Abigail
Breslin
were
being
considered
for
the
female
lead
in
the
film
Hunger
Games.
Rumors
of
Lawrence
acting
in
it
started
making
rounds
in
Hollywood
late
last
week.
Till
then
she
had
neither
got
the
offer
nor
any
negotiation
had
taken
place
between
her
and
the
movie
bosses.
Gary
Ross,
who
is
directing
Hunger
Games,
has
now
confirmed
the
news
about
her
cast.
"Katniss
requires
a
young
actress
with
strength,
depth,
complexity,

power.

alive
who
can
bring
that
to
