Jennifer Lopez to star opposite Jason Statham in Parker

Actress Jennifer Lopez, who is currently promoting her latest album 'Love', is making her comeback to big screen soon. According to reports, the singer-cum-actress has signed to star in director Taylor Hackford's upcoming movie Parker. J Lo will star opposite The Expendables actor Jason Statham in the flick.

J Lo's action film Parker is based on Donald Westlake"s mystery novel series. Parker is a thief with a strict moral code, but that code will not stop him from killing anyone if he/she crosses him. The film has already been picked up by the distribution and production company FilmDistrict and it will shoot for seven weeks in New Orleans starting July 18th.

However, Jennifer Lopez has also signed to star in another movie after she concluded the latest season of 'American Idol'. She will be the part of an ensemble cast in the comedy What to Expect When You"re Expecting, which is scheduled to be shot during the gap between seasons of American Idol.
