Jennifer Lawrence to release Hunger Games trailer at MTV VMAs

Lionsgate has already unleashed a series of pictures to introduce the main characters of the movie The Hunger Games. Now, the studio has planned to adapt a new strategy to unveil the first-ever video of the much-awaited movie. Actress Jennifer Lawrence will introduce the footage at MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 28.

The Hunger Games is all about a young girl named Katniss Everdeen, who volunteers to take her sister's place in a fight to the death in a dystopian future. Jennifer Lawrence is playing Katniss. The actress will attend the 2011 MTV VMAs to unveil the first-ever trailer of the much-anticipated film.

However, it is reported that Lionsgate's arrangement has disappointed the the Twilight Saga stars, who have reportedly mocked the The Hunger Games team for copying their promotion strategy. "You'd think they could come up with their own plan. It's a little disingenuous," a source told E! Online.
