Jennifer Aniston said no to 'Saturday Night Live' for 'Friends'

London, Feb 4 (ANI): Jennifer Aniston turned down the chance to be a 'Saturday Night Live' regular to star in famous sit-com 'Friends', it has emerged.

During a TV chat with Oprah Winfrey, the actress' longtime pal Adam Sandler revealed the fact that Aniston was once approached to become an SNL castmember, reports the Daily Star.

He explained that the actress was hot comedy property when he was a writer/comic on the weekly satirical show.

"We wanted Aniston to be on the show with us and I remember... seeing Jen come in. I was like, 'Oh my God, there's Aniston; is she about to be on our show?'

"I was like, 'I'm gonna be working with Aniston,' and then she said no: 'She's gonna do that Friends; what the hell is Friends?'" he said.

Aniston recalled, "They thought I was making a huge mistake." (ANI)
