JK
Rowling,
the
writer
of
'Harry
Potter'
series,
has
ended
her
15-year-old
association
with
her
book
agent,
Christopher
Little.
The
author
has
confirmed
the
news
and
has
said
that
it
is
a
painful
decision
but
it
is
taken
with
a
good
reason.
Reports
say
that
the
writer
took
the
decision
due
to
unavoidable
reason.
"This
was
a
painful
decision,
especially
as
Ms
Rowling
had
actively
sought
a
different
outcome
for
some
weeks.
However,
it
was
not
taken
without
good
reason
and
it
finally
became
unavoidable." The
BBC
quoted
her
spokesperson
as
saying.
Meanwhile,
Mr
Little's
spokesperson
has
claimed
that
they
are
surprised
and
shocked
by
her
decision.
However,
the
agent
admires
her
extraordinary
talent
and
proud
to
be
part
of
her
successful
journey.
It
may
be
recalled
that
they
have
worked
together
close
to
16
years.
In
fact,
their
association
is
considered
as
the
most
commercially
successful
relationship,
as
they
have
sold
more
than
400
million
copies
of
'Harry
Potter' series
worldwide.
Meanwhile,
the
eighth
and
final
instalment
in
the
film
series,
Harry
Potter
and
the
Deathly
Hallows
–
Part
2
(2011),
is
all
set
to
release
on
July
13.
