Actress Joey Lynn King, who has made several notable appearances on both small as well as big screens, has now bagged an offer to star in the Walt Disney Pictures' upcoming movie Oz: the Great and Powerful. According to sources, the 11-year-old TV star will reprise the role of a China girl in the action adventure movie.
Oz: the Great and Powerful is a prequel to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. It tells how the Wizard arrived in Oz and how he became the ruler. James Franco and Mila Kunis are playing Oz and Theodora respectively. Joey King will essay the role of a China Girl, who sees her family killed by the evil witch Evanora in the movie.
Joey King started her career as a child artist on the small screen. Later, she debuted in film as well as music industry. So far, she has acted in nearly 20 movies. King is best known for her breakout role in Ramona & Beezus as Ramona Quimby.
